Atalanta away in the Champions League and the Manchester derby follow this game, and it has been rumoured that, to save his position, Solskjaer must win all three matches.

How will Manchester United respond after the dismal display last weekend? Solskjaer has stuck to his principles and plumped for Scott McTominay and Fred yet again in midfield, but he has really stirred the pot by going for the back three in a game he really must win.

A decent-looking bench for the home side as well, with Dele Alli, Sergio Reguilon, Steven Bergwijn and Tanguy Ndombele the standout names.
