Another good cross from Cleverly but Mendy comes out to claim well. Though he injured himself clashing with Azpilicueta and will get some treatment.

A superb cross from Kiko is deflected by Azpilicueta's knee and only a brilliant full-length stop from Mendy keeps it out.

Cleverly gets to the by-line and crosses back for Joao Pedro whose effort would have gone in if Chalobah hadn't cleared off the line.

Watford not letting Chelsea settle on the ball at all in their own third of the pitch.

Just a few minutes from kick-off here. All the top three in action so things could change at the summit. Norwich and Newcastle drawing was a good result for the Hornets yesterday. They would love a point to likely lift themselves four points clear of the bottom three.

Chelsea are a 1/3 shot to win tonight, with Watford as big as 9/1 and the draw 9/2.

Overall there are six changes for Chelsea with Christensen, Azpilicueta, Havertz, Pulisic and Mount and also starting and Thiago Silva, James, Werner, Hudson-Odoi and Ziyech rested. All bar James are on the bench.

Watford's only change from the 4-2 defeat to Leicester at the weekend is Joao Pedro starting in place of Juan Hernandez.

The big team news is that Saul Nigurez starts in the Premier League for just the second time for Chelsea alongside Ruben Loftus-Cheek. While obvious talents, very much a second-string midfield pairing.
