GOAL FOR ARSENAL (HAVERTZ)
Kai Havertz races through on goal from the Nketiah pass. Lovely chipped finish and that is a 2-0 lead for Arsenal. Finally for the Gunners. Should have been more really with the amount of pressure applied.

BRIGHTON AGAIN TEST THE HOME DEFENCE
Gross with the cross into the home box this time with Jack Hinshelwood nodding wide of goal. Couldn't get enough on the ball and Arsenal survive.

POWERFUL RUN BY RICE
Superb stuff from Rice for Arsenal. Slams the shot at goal, but Verbruggen makes a fine stop to deny a certain second goal. Still only 1-0.

BRIGHTON SQUANDER GREAT CHANCE
Mitoma with the ball across goal for Brighton. Looked to be an easy finish, but Gross slides it wide of goal. How did he miss that? Huge let-off for Arsenal.

ALL STILL A BIT TENSE INSIDE THE EMIRATES
Well, Crystal Palace hit back from 2-0 behind against Manchester City yesterday in a very similar match. So home fans are wondering if their side will pay for not adding a second goal so far.

ANOTHER CHANCE COME AND GOES
Martinelli chips the ball into the box with an intelligent delivery, but Havertz heads over from five yards out. Should have done better there.

BRILLIANT PLAY BY ODEGAARD
Rice breaking up the play before supplying the Arsenal skipper, whose shot is blocked brilliantly by Verbruggen. Great stop.

MITOMA GOES DOWN
Was under pressure from White inside the Arsenal box. Just fell over. Away fans wanted a penalty, but looked very soft. No contact really.

WILL JESUS BE SMILING AT THE END?
Looks like the one goal might well settle this match, but Brighton hanging in there. And one-goal leads can be precarious.

BRILLIANT FROM DUNK
That is fabulous defending from Dunk to head off his line under the bar after White had flicked on the Martinelli corner. Was heading into the net. Dunk outstanding for Brighton today.

ARSENAL SO FAST ON BREAK
Saka drives a shot into the side netting after a rapid Arsenal break with Hinshelwood heading straight at Raya from the Gross cross.
