Cole Palmer’s goal deep into added time earned Chelsea a quite sensational victory at Stamford Bridge, as they came from behind to beat Manchester United 4-3 in the most dramatic of circumstances.

The hosts drew first blood within the opening four minutes, with Conor Gallagher converting Malo Gusto’s deflected shot, before Cole Palmer doubled the lead when slotting home from the penalty spot after a foul on Marc Cucurella.

The two-goal cushion did not last long though. The Red Devils levelled before the break, as Alejandro Garnacho pulled one back following a Moises Caicedo error, before Bruno Fernandes equalised with a guided header.

Gallagher hit the post in added time as Chelsea tried to retake the lead, but they found themselves behind after half-time when Garnacho nodded home his second.

From there, the game looked to be fizzling out, but Palmer had other ideas, making it 3-3 with another penalty after Diogo Dalot had fouled Noni Madueke, before the former Manchester City man completed his hat-trick by smashing a deflected shot past Andre Onana.

"To win like that, there's nothing better. We thought we'd go for it, and thankfully we scored! To score in the last minute is just crazy."

He tells TNT Sports "I don't know" what happened. "When the eight minutes got added on, it gave us a lift. Madness!"

Wow! Scenes at Stamford Bridge! The Chelsea fans are going wild, and who can blame them? They've picked up three points in the most dramatic of circumstances. Wow, wow, wow!

For the second time tonight, Palmer converts from the penalty spot. He went to the right in the first half, and on this occasion sends Onana the wrong way by finding the same corner! 3-3!

Madueke gets in behind Dalot, who then trips up the substitute. It's terrible defending. And Chelsea have a chance to make it 3-3!
