YOUNG GOES INTO THE BOOK
Flies into a late one on Garnacho as he sped down a flank, and that is going to be the first booking of the day. No complaints.

INVENTIVE PLAY FROM HOME SIDE
This time it is Dwight McNeil with a little dinked ball to the back post. That is a lovely ball, but nobody was reading his mind. Otherwise Everton could have been level. Drops away for a goalkick.

ASHLEY YOUNG WITH A LATE ONE
Cheap foul to give away as he pushes Alejandro Garnacho in the back when he couldn't get to the ball. And United will take those all day long. Buys them time and space.

SHAW HAS A POP FROM DISTANCE
Bruno Fernandes with the corner-kick amid fireworks going off outside the ground from the protesting home supporters. Shaw meets it with some relish, but his shot from outside the box is a few yards over.

RASHFORD EARNS HIS SIDE A CORNER
Some more positive play by the England forward to speed into the box. His cross comes off Mykolenko, and spins over the bar. United continue on the attack.

GARNACHO IS ENJOYING HIS DAY OUT
Plenty of energy from him in the forward areas after his goal of the season winner (sorry, contender). United looking very sharp and energised with their passing very much on point.

NICE PLAY FROM EVERTON
Looking to flood the United half with bodies on the attack, but Dominic Calvert-Lewin's shot after a surging run is easily held by Onana.

EVERTON APPEAL FOR A CORNER
But nothing doing as Harrison appeals after the challenge of Mainoo out wide, but referee decides it is a goalkick to United. And on we go. Breathless start to this encounter.

GOODISON PARK IS STUNNED
That is the way to silence a partisan home crowd. The travelling fans loving it. There was nothing Everton could do about it. A world-class finish in every sense.

GOAL FOR UNITED! (GARNACHO)
Well, one of the goals of any season from Alejandro Garnacho as he meets the Diogo Dalot cross to send an overhead kick crashing into the corner of the net. What a goal that is! Was behind him, but he decided to try his luck from 12 yards or so and that is a stunning finish when he is upside down. He can retire now. United lead 1-0.

VAR HAS A LOOK AT A PENALTY SHOUT
Branthwaite gave McTominay a nudge on the back as he powered into the Everton box, but there is nothing doing on that occasion.

TEN HAG READY FOR FIRED-UP EVERTON CHALLENGE
The Manchester United manager feels Everton will have every motivation today after the 10-point penalty by an independent commission for breaching Premier League financial rules.
“It’s always about us, I can see the opposition and I can see they are mad, but then finally it’s about us,” he said on Friday.
“If they are mad and that’s their fuel, we have to match those standards. When we match the standards, we have a very good chance to win the game.”
