REPORT: DCL TO THE RESCUE
Dominic Calvert-Lewin rescued what could prove a valuable point for Everton in the Premier League relegation scrap as his late penalty earned a dramatic draw at Newcastle.
Everton have now extended their winless run to 13 Premier League games – their worst streak since 1957 – in a pivotal week that may yet turn sour.
But, amid the threat of a potential second points deduction – a decision could be made as early as this week – this feels like a point gained for Everton after Calvert-Lewin cancelled out Alexander Isak’s opener.

‘A GREAT FEELING’
After scoring his first goal in 24 games… Calvert-Lewin tells TNT Sports:
You don’t have to say that again. I know! It’s a great feeling. To go so long without scoring, it can play on your mind.

FULL-TIME
There’s the full-time whistle! A huge point potentially for Everton.
The winless run may have stretched to 13 games, but how big could that be in the relegation scrap? Particularly if a second points deduction is on the way?
For Newcastle, it’s a missed opportunity. They never put the game to bed and have been punished.

OFF THE LINE!
Brilliant play from Barnes down the left and it looks as though he has another assist and Isak another goal, but Mykolenko is there on the line to head it away. Isak just didn’t connect with it properly.
Moments later, Barnes takes a touch inside the area but then strikes his effort just wide.
