Wolves versus Manchester United LIVE - Thursday night Premier League clash at Molineux

Manchester United rescued a late victory over Wolves tonight with a dramatic winner from Kobbie Mainoo in injury time.

The visitors had a two goal lead twice in the game, but Wolves pulled it back to 3-3 in the dying minutes with goals from Max Kilman and then an injury time strike from Neto. That looked to have secured a point for Wolves, only for United to go straight up the other end and win the match with a brilliant individual goal from Mainoo in the seventh minute of injury time.

In the first half United dominated, creating a stream of chances and having two goals disallowed. Much of the pre-match build-up radiated around Marcus Rashford, who responded to being dropped from the squad last weekend by putting United ahead inside five minutes. Rasmus Hojlund then doubled United’s lead later in the half.

A penalty from substitute Pablo Sarabia pulled Wolves back into the game with 19 minutes to go, only for an immediate Scott McTominay strike to make it 3-1. The stunning comeback from Wolves followed, only for it to be usurped by Mainoo’s late heroics.

The win pushes United up to seventh in the table. They will now host West Ham on Sunday, while Wolves face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

Onana catches the last lofted cross into the United box, and this breathless match is over. Football, folks; ain't nothin' like it.

United get forward again, McTominay releasing Fernandes on the left, but his pass back into the middle is too far ahead of Forson and the chance disappears. My fingers are numbe here.

I have no words. United get the ball back upfield, and Mainoo gets the ball in the inside left channel with nothing on at all. He nutmegs Kilman, cuts inside and places a glorious low shot into the far corner past Sa! This is wild stuff!

What a game! Antony coughs the ball up on the edge of the Wolves box, and the home side break with gusto. They work it to Neto on the right of the box, who cuts inside, shoots through Varane's legs and it's in at the near post with Onana rooted!

United work the corner to Shaw, who clips a poor cross into Evans. It deflects to McTominay, six yards out and onside, and Sa saves his scuffed shot from clise range.

Antony leads it down the left, and cuts into the area. He shoots low for the far corner, but it's blocked by Kilman.

It's Evans for Garnacho, as Ten Hag moves to protect the lead.

Nine minutes of it at least, we're told.

Garnacho gets away down the right and feeds Antony, free to his left in the D. Cunha gets back and fouls him, and with other players around recieces just a yellow for a cynical hack.

My word, Molineux is on its toes now! Lemina pokes a low cross just wide, but was immediately flagged offside. There should be a fair chunk of injury time, so I'd wager there's drama incoming yet.

On come Forson and Maguire for Hojlund and Martinez.

Hello! United fail to clear the corner, and Dawson bicycle kicks the ball back into the six yard box. Kilman chests it and than bounces a shot through Onana and into the net; game on again!

Neto has a crack on the half-volley from the right of the area, and MArtinez blocks it to put the ball behind.

Joao Gomes and Fraser are on in place of Doyle and Toti Gomes for Wolves.

This game is stretched now, and Semedo gets free in clear green grass down the right. He gets to the corner of the box, but slashes a shot horribly wide of the near post.

From 35 yards out and to the right, Fernandes tries to catch Sa out with a free kick and book it over him into the far corner, a bit like that famous Matt le Tissier dipper over Tim Flowers at Ewood Park. It's a yard or so high and wide.

He delays taking a goal kick, to the chagrin of Gillett.

What a few minutes that was. I didn't even crowbar in a good save from Sa from a deflected Fernandes shot, just before United won the corner.

Oh my word, United have just silenced a raucous Molineux! Fernandes takes a corner from the right and McTominay meets it, heading straight into the ground and bouncing the ball up into the top corner! What an introduction!
