Rangers work their way out of a tight spot as they play out from the back.

Celtic are enjoying a decent spell of pressure now as they win a corner. Duffy is all over Goldson as the delivery comes in though and Rangers have a free-kick in the penalty area.

Much better from Celtic. Elyounoussi drives through the middle, feeding McGregor, whose effort is well blocked by Goldson.

Kent skips away from a couple of Celtic defenders on the right flank to create the space for a cross. It's cleared, but Rangers regain possession with Morelos forcing the corner.

Chance for Celtic to equalise! Duffy flights a ball over the top of the Rangers defence for Elyounoussi to run onto, as Goldson fails to deal with it, but the forward lifts it well over McGregor's bar! That was a real opportunity!

Shot! Kent carves in from the right but scuffs a shot from distance straight at Barkas.

Confidence is rushing through the veins of Rangers now. The visitors conjure up another neat move with lovely one-touch football and Tavernier tries a hopeful first-time volley which is well wide of goal.

GOAL! Celtic 0-1 Rangers (Goldson): Rangers have the lead in the Old Firm! Tavernier whips in the most teasing free-kick delivery and Goldson is just onside as he glances his header into the corner of the goal! Celtic's goalkeeper, perhaps, should have kept it out!

Rangers spring a counter attack, with Morelos racing into the box from the right. His cross finds Barisic at the far post but he shoots well wide.

Important block! McGregor streaks away down the left flank, delivering a lovely low cross into the penalty area. Helander makes a crucial intervention to rescue Rangers.

Walsh, starting just his second game for the champions, is on the right of Celtic's back three.

After a nervy start, Celtic have now got their foot on the ball as they enjoy a spell of possession.

Tavernier whips the ball into the heart of the penalty area but Celtic hold their nerve to clear their lines.

Tavernier, who is always such a threat from the wing-back position, draws the foul from Laxalt and Rangers have a free-kick on the right flank.

Kick-off! The players take the knee in the ongoing fight against racism and then Rangers get us underway in the first Old Firm of the season!
