Well Roma started sluggishly but that ought to settle a few nerves. A win and they go second for tonight, although Napoli, Inter and Lazio may change that.

Totti smacks it into the roof of the net, sucking his thumb in typical celebration. 1-0 Roma!

Totti on the left and he crosses in for De Rossi but it flies wide! De Rossi thinks he was pushed and so does the ref! Penalty! Canini pulling him to the ground!

Totti swings it far post where Borriello controls, back to Riise but Conti blocks the cross and it's another corner!

Borriello takes the throw short and Roma win a corner through Taddei.

Totti plays Perrotta in wide right, he slides it in for Borreillo but the angle is too tight. After the ball goes out of play Conti is booked for the earlier dive.

Cossu down the left with a good cross in, half cleared and Conti hurls himself to the turf but play on says the ref!

Borriello has plenty of space but a poor first touch kills the option of the shot. He stands it up for Totti, who shoots but straight a Agazzi.

Really odd decision by Acquafresca to turn and head the ball backwards when Biondini's superb centre gave him a free header.

Totti races down the right but is held up by Astori and Cagliari clear.
