As long as Palermo fail to make their dominance pay they remain vulnerable to the counter attack.

That man Toni almost snatches the lead with a well guided header that looks destined for the far corner before Sirigu makes an athletic save.

Pinilla's 25 yard shot loops up off the defender and looks to have Eduardo in trouble but the goalkeeper finds his feet and clutches gratefully at the ball.

Luca Toni looks to be only source of attacking inspiration for the visitors.

Pastore is proving to be something of an elusive character this evening after being upended once more.

That near miss appears to have sparked the home side into life. Much more urgency on display after a tentative opening.
