FULL-TIME: AC Milan 3-2 Hellas Verona
WHAT. A. GAME.
You can't help but feel a bit sorry for Tudor and his Verona side, who seemed much more deserving of the win amidst Milan's irritating constant desperation to win a penalty. Credit is due to Milan though for their relentlessness and ruthlessness late on to clinch the win and move to the top of Serie A.
After all, they do say it's a trademark of a good team to be able to win ugly sometimes too.
90+3'
CHANCE! Verona send lots of players forward for a free-kick and no one's more eager to get on the end of it than Gunter, who scored the own goal. It's initially cleared away though and the eventual header when it comes back in is into the hands of Tatarusanu.
88'
Tomori grimaces as he goes down clutching his knee. Medics help him off the pitch to have treatment, meaning Milan will have to play with a man down for a couple of minutes.
86'
Ibrahimovic has a pop but his effort's blocked.
82'
Giroud heads to the bench for a well-earned rest after playing a pivotal role in Milan's comeback. Sandro Tonali will hope to shore things up in midfield for them in the closing minutes.

GOAL!!! Milan complete the comeback, as Verona concede in calamitous fashion!
Castillejo sends a cross in for the right and Gunter miskicks his attempted first-time clearance past his own keeper to give Milan their third goal. Still an incredible turnaround after being two goals down almost up until the hour mark.

Ibrahimovic coming onto the pitch for the oppposition is the last thing you want to see as you gain momentum, even if he is 40 now! That's what Verona have to contend with now, as Bennacer departs the pitch in his favour.

GOAL!!! Kessie equalises from the penalty spot!
You can hardly say it's deserved, but Milan level the score at 2-2 as Kessie sends the goalkeeper the wrong way with his spot kick.

75'
After a lengthy VAR check - the millionth of this game - the penalty stands. Kessie will take.
73'
PENALTY GIVEN!! Castillejo tries some fancy footwork in the box and goes down dramatically after a soft-looking coming together with Faraoni. Milan have seemed more intent on getting a penalty than scoring a goal and they've finally got their wish.
72'
Giroud goes down in the penalty area holding his head and once again his teammates cry out for a penalty, but I think it was more a matter of Giroud diving low than the defender having his boot dangerously high in the air.
69'
CHANCE! Milan burst forward on the counter and Leao goes for the spectacular! He fails to hit the target though.
68'
CHANCE! Tatarusanu gets his fingertips to a Verona cross before Barak and co fail to shoot past the sea of bodies in the Milan box.
66'
CLOSE!! Giroud almost scores another header! This time it loops slightly over the bar.
64'
Consecutive attacking changes for Verona, as the wonderfully named Kevin Lasagna is subbed on for Kalinic. He's part the way through an 18-month loan from Udinese.

GOAL!!! Textbook from Giroud as Milan halve Verona's lead!
Substitute Leao cuts inside from the left and crosses into the box for Giroud to head home with maximal composure.
