Khvicha Kvaratskhelia brace helps Napoli to win at Verona, Inter Milan top after win over Torino

Georgian forward Khvicha Kvaratskhelia grabbed a brace of goals as Napoli secured a 3-1 victory at Verona on Saturday in Italy's Serie A. Elsewhere, Inter Milan claimed a 3-0 win up against Torino in Turin, and Sassuolo suffered a defeat at home against Lazio. On Sunday the biggest match-up of the weekend takes place as Juventus will visit AC Milan.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored twice as Napoli won 3-1 at Verona on Saturday in Serie A, Inter Milan downed Torino, and Sassuolo were beaten at home by Lazio.
Matteo Politano scored first for champions Napoli just before the half-hour mark, and then exciting Georgian forward Kvaratskhelia scored two minutes before the end of the first half, before adding another 10 minutes after the restart.
Darko Lazovic scored for the home side on 60 minutes, but it was too little, too late. Napoli finished the game in fifth place with 17 points, five points off first-placed Inter, while Verona sit 16th.
Last season’s losing UEFA Champions League finalists Inter Milan scored three times in the second half as they won at Torino.
Marcus Thuram netted on 59 minutes before Lautaro Martinez scored eight minutes later.
Experienced Turkish playmaker Hakan Calhanoglu then scored from the spot five minutes into second-half added time.
Torino are now 14th.
Lazio won 2-0 at Sassuolo with both goals scored in the first half.
Felipe Anderson scored on 28 minutes before Luis Alberto added a second, lifting the Rome side into seventh, while Sassuolo are 13th.
On Sunday, Jose Mourinho’s Roma host Monza, Cagliari travel to Salernitana, Bologna play at home to Frosinone, Atalanta take on Genoa, and the biggest match of the weekend sees Juventus play AC Milan at the San Siro.
