Meanwhile, Chelsea have “received a blow in their bid” to sign Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, and Tottenham could land Juventus midfielder Samuel Iling-Junior.

Man Utd make 'contact' with Stuttgart regarding Guirassy

Manchester United have "made contact" with Stuttgart regarding the availability of star striker Serhou Guirassy.
That is according to a report in The Sun, which claims Erik ten Hag's side are "keen" on the Guinea international, who has scored 15 goals in 10 Bundesliga games so far this season, just three short of top scorer Harry Kane.
The outlet states: "Guirassy, 27, is now on the radar of several top clubs and Man Utd are one of those keen.
"They have supposedly made contact with Stuttgart regarding his availability, and the Guinea international has a £14.6 million release clause that can be triggered in January.
"It makes him an affordable option for United as they look to bolster their attack in the transfer window.
"Foot Mercato report that Guirassy is open to leaving Stuttgart should a tempting offer come in.
"But United face competition in the battle to sign him from Roma, AC Milan and Newcastle. West Ham were interested in him last year."

Chelsea receive blow in bid to get Napoli star

Chelsea have “received a blow in their bid” to bring Napoli star Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to Stamford Bridge as he “prefers a move to Real Madrid”, it has been claimed.
The forward has been a sensation for Napoli, helping the club end their 33-year wait for the Scudetto last season.
The Standard publishes quotes from the 22-year-old’s father, Badri Kvaratskhelia, following Napoli’s 4-2 defeat to Los Blancos in the UEFA Champions League.
The outlet writes: “Badri Kvaratskhelia believes his son would like to sign for Madrid if he gets the chance.
"’For Khvicha, playing against Real Madrid was special," he told Georgian football outlet Geo Team.
"’He has always dreamed, and I am convinced, that he still dreams of playing for Real Madrid.
"’In my family, everyone is a fan of Los Blancos - except for me. For this reason it was a very special match’."

Spurs could land Iling-Junior on 'the cheap'

Tottenham could land Juventus midfielder Samuel Iling-Junior “on the cheap” this January.
Spurs made a fine start to the Premier League season but have now lost three consecutive games as injuries, including to James Maddison, took a hold on their thin squad.
And now, according to a report in the Express, Ange Postecoglou’s side could move for the highly rated 20-year-old.
“Tottenham could acquire Samuel Iling-Junior on the cheap this winter as Juventus look to raise funds for a new midfielder,” states the article.
“The winger is rumoured to be on Spurs' radar, with Ange Postecoglou keen to build squad depth in north London after succumbing to a wave of recent injuries.
“According to Calciomercato, Juventus are willing to cash in on Iling-Junior this winter to free up space and funds for a midfield recruit. And Tottenham are reportedly at the front of the queue.
“The north Londoners were quoted £17.3 million for the wide man when they expressed an interest last summer, but it is now understood that Juve would be willing to accept as little as £15.5m.”
