AC Milan v Udinese LIVE: Serie A updates as Udinese win at San Siro

Udinese stunned AC Milan 1-0 at San Siro, picking up their first win of the season thanks to Roberto Pereyra’s second-half penalty and consigning Stefano Pioli’s side to a fourth winless game.

Udinese had the better of the chances in a lacklustre first-half, and it was the visitors who went closest to opening the scoring after the break too.

And the lead did finally come for Udinese when Festy Ebosele was adjudged to have been fouled in the box, and Pereyra, who had missed an earlier golden chance, slotted home from the spot.

Milan huffed and puffed, having most of the possession but lacking much in the way of cutting edge, but the equaliser just wouldn’t come, with Marco Silvestri performing well in the Udinese goal.

And the whistles from the stands at full-time told a story as Udinese celebrated a famous win – their first against Milan at the ground in seven years.

The final whistle goes and Udinese pick up a famous win at San Siro. They deserve it too. It finishes AC Milan 0, Udinese 1.

Lucca and Thauvin break and the latter’s cross fizzes across the face of goal without a touch. They were two on one for a stretch there and probably should have put the game to bed.

Leao tries to go alone as options dry up, and his effort from distance fizzes fractionally wide. That was a terrific effort and the keeper was getting nowhere near it, but the net didn’t bulge and Udinese survive again.

Udinese are camped on the edge of their own box and the score remains at 1-0. Will there be late drama at San Siro.

Florenzi lets fly but Silvestri tips over at full stretch. That’s a terrific save.

Okafor does all he can to make room for a shot inside the box, but he’s crowded out before he pulls the trigger and the chance goes begging. The fans are furious that he didn’t shoot, but you can see that he was trying to wrong-foot the covering defenders, it just didn’t quite come off.

Seven minutes will be added at the end of the game, and Milan have hope. That’s enough to raise the fans off their seats. Will we see a late turnaround?

Leao’s cross flicks off the shoulder Giroud towards the top corner, but Silvestri makes a brilliant save to protect his team’s lead.

Milan are throwing people forward, but the fans don’t sound particularly enthusiastic about their team’s chances of getting something here. The atmosphere is as subdued as this performance has been. There’s still time for them to turn it around though.

Udinese break and Kamara puts in a great cross that Lucca heads wide. But the flag was up against the wide man anyway.

Milan’s intensity has picked up a notch and they are throwing bodies forward in search of goals at the death.

Udinese introduce some fresh legs for the final few minutes as the visitors look to hold on for a win. It’s Success and the two outstanding wing-backs who make way.

Udinese counter and Success finds Thauvin with a clever pass. He looks to shoot across the keeper as the square ball isn’t on, but the effort is deflected behind for a corner.

Musah is withdrawn as Milan roll the dice.

Udinese counter, but a foul by Thauvin gives Milan a reprieve. That’s going to be a real threat in the final ten minutes as Milan throw bodies forward in search of an equaliser.

Leao bursts around the outside and wins his side a corner. The resulting set-piece is eventually worked into the box, but Florenzi fires over. That’s at least some intent from Milan though.
