Inter Milan v Udinese live - Serie A latest as Inter heading top thanks to three goals in seven minutes

Udinese launched a rare sortie forward and it nearly paid huge dividends, Pereyra found space for a first-time shot but a loose hit flies high and wide.

Ferreira and Bastoni both slid for the ball resulting in a nasty collision, with the Udinese man deemed to be at fault - and that card means he'll miss his next game too.

Cute interplay between Nicolo Barella and Marcus Thuram allowed the latter to produce an inticingly hittable pull-back for Dimarco.

Silvestri was stranded at the near post but showed huge hunger to get across and stop the weak shot at full stretch. Inter are starting to find openings though.

For all Udinese's commitment to a long defensive shift, Martinez will be a threat all game. The Argentine's ghostly movement and deadly finishing has netted him 13 goals already in Serie A this season and nearly added to it there, playing in Dimarco on the left before drifting into the centre of the penalty area and meeting the cross well - but his header thunders against the post and bounces out.

The hosts have enjoyed 60% of possession so far and sit camped outside the Inter box, but the Udinese defence remains disciplince and Inter can't find a way through.

Thuram's been the brightest spark so far and wins a corner, but it comes to nothing when Bastoni takes out Marco Silvestri as the cross swings in. Back to stalemate...

Thuram's been a superb addition to I Nerazzuri for this season having recorded 11 league goal contributions so far and is top wingman, while Lautaro Martinez is crushing the golden boot competition with a lead of five goals.

Udinese did almost everything to put three-points on relegation rivals Verona last weekend, taking the lead three times before falling to a 97th minute Thomas Henry equaliser.

Still, Lorenzo Lucca bagged a brace for I Bianconeri and has been rewarded with a place in the starting lineup tonight, he'll lead the visiting attack.

Gabriele Cioffi remains without some big-name players though, Gerard Deulofeu hasn't featured since suffering a knee injury in January while Enzo Eboose, Brenner, Vivaldo Semedo and Jaka Bijol will all be sidelined until 2024.

Already without Benjamin Pavard, Inter's 3-0 victory over Napoli wasn't without cost for Simone Inzaghi as he saw Stefan Dumfries and Stefan de Vrij ruled out until Christmas.

Both suffered muscle injuries at the Stadio Maradona so Matteo Darmian moves out of the back-three to right wing-back, while Yann Bisseck and Alessandro Bastoni join Francesco Acerbi in defence.

However, they’ll also have one eye on Tuesday’s Champions League showdown with Real Sociedad, Inter have qualified for the knockouts but need to beat the Spanish side to top their group.

Earlier, ten-man Verona held Lazio to a 1-1 draw meaning Udinese are just a point above the relegation zone so they could do with snatching anything they can get tonight and keeping a buffer to 18th place.
