ANOTHER CASUALTY
Cristiano Biraghi might've tweaked something in a previous challenge on KcKinnie as he plonks down to the turf again in this latest stoppage to receive treatment.

VLAHOVIC DOWN
There was light contact in the back from Luca Ranieri, but nothing enough to justify his reaction on the floor. Referee Federico La Penna isn't fooled though, and Fiorentina retain possession.

FIORENTINA WAKE UP
That second disallowed goal finally seems to have shaken Fiorentina into life, as they start to build some meaningful possession in the opposition half. They're yet to win a 2024 away game in Serie A though, so temper any hopes of a rampant first half now.

ANOTHER DISALLOWED GOAL
It's been a busy start for VAR! Juventus played it short from the corner and Kostic again lifted cross in, and the Old Lady once again have the ball in the net - Gatti hit the bar before Dusan Vlahovic stuck it home - but once again it's ruled out for clear offside.
The Serbian wasn't the problem but his shot (which was heading in either way) deflected off Bremer's heel with the Brazilian well offside.

JUVENTUS IMPOSE THEMSELVES
They're starting to control the ball, once again it's a delivery into the box that Christian Kouame had to be back smartly to deal with.

BALL IN THE NET!
That's one of the more blatant offsides you'll see. It potentially doesn't need the VAR check as Filip Kostic swung the ball in but Fiorentina cleared it easily.
Weston McKinnie hung around by the penalty spot and received Federico Gatti's header back into the danger area, unfortunately the defensive backline hadn't hung around and pushed up to leave him at least a yard offside. Still, it was a neat finish at least!

CAGEY START
Both sides are desperately out of form and it shows, it's been an uneventful first few minutes in Turin.

ALL ON THE LINE
With six games to go, Juventus are already almost mathematically out of a Serie A title race - thought it's been as much of a race as Usain Bolt's early Olympic gold medals.
However, a wretched run of form means they are also in danger of falling out of the Champions League places - they're four points ahead of fifth-placed Roma with only tonight's game in hand.
However, they've still got to travel to Roma face and face top four incumbents AC Milan and Bologna before the end of the season, so a win tonight to extend that buffer would be a welcome relief for Max Allegri's men.

VIDEO: VIOLA GIVES THE VIOLETS A HELPING HAND
Like in the Premier League, we won't find out who's qualified for Europe from Serie A until the last moment of the season. However, a top six finish would guarantee it for Fiorentina, and this late winner for Cagliari means then can close the gap to four points with a win tonight...

ONE TO WATCH: MICHAEL KAYODE
It's been a hell of a breakout campaign for 19-year-old Michael Kayode, and he's already on the radar of Arsenal and Manchester City while Inter Milan are targeting him to replace Denzel Dumfries.
Like seemingly every young full-back these days, Kayode is a real asset going forward and will be hoping to link up with Nico Gonzalez and target Danilo tonight. But none of that is at the expense of defensive solidarity - he's like a rock on the right for Fiorentina and will be tasked with shackling Federico Chiesa and Filip Kostic at the Allianz Stadium.

HELLO AND WELCOME
It’s been some week of sport hasn’t it? No quarter has been given in the Premier League title race but Manchester United and Chelsea played out THAT bonkers ending at Stamford Bridge. Away from football, it’s been one of the best weekends on the rugby calendar with the European last 16 playing out, while both the men’s and women’s editions on the cobbles of Paris-Roubaix certainly delivered on the hype!
Which is to say that tonight’s Serie A action has a lot to live up to. Luckily, we should have a treat served up in the form of arguably the game of the weekend behind the Derby della Capitale.
Frosinone helped the Old Lady out by holding Bologna to a draw earlier but Juventus need victory to stay secure in the Champions League positions, and Fiorentina are also chasing European football next year, just at five points away from sixth-placed Atalanta with two games in hand.
It all kicks off in 45 minutes live on TNT Sports 1 and discovery+ are live from the Allianz Stadium from 19:30 GMT.
