Hearts' Makela joins Thun

Hearts striker Juho Makela has joined Swiss side FC Thun on loan until the end of the season. The 23-year-old Finn is expected to return after the spell, which has been arranged to allow him to gain more first-team experience.

"By moving to Switzerland for the next five months Juho will be involved in valuable first-team action," a Hearts spokesman said.

"Everyone at Tynecastle wishes him well for his time with FC Thun."

Hearts currently lie fourth in the SPL after a series of internal conflicts between players, management and outspoken owner Vladimir Romanov that has seen first-team players Steven Pressley and Paul Hartley leave for Celtic.
