Nelson glides through the middle of the pitch and then turns on the afterburners again to easily escape a challenge. He gets to the edge of the box and sees a shot blocked.

Double change for Pompey as Harrison and Harness make way for Marquis and Curtis.

This has been a masterclass from Arsenal since scoring their second. They haven't really threatened a third but they have not given Portsmouth any chance at all of responding. Not a sniff.

Still nothing at all for Portsmouth, who are pinned back inside their own half chasing shadows.

The Portsmouth fans remain in good voice but Arsenal are bossing this game now.

Look at the burst of pace for Nelson for the goal. Even more impressive given this is his first game back from injury.

Mikel Arteta might have had a stern word at half-time because Arsenal look a lot better than they did in the first half. They are hardly giving Portsmouth a touch.

Is there anyway back for Portsmouth now? They surely need a response quickly.

Nelson does brilliantly down the right as he gets McCrorie one-on-one and races past him before delivering a cross towards Nketiah at the near post. Nketiah is between two defenders and gets a bit fortunate as the ball bounces kindly and falls for him to finish from close range.
