Good afternoon! The FA Cup quarterfinals continue with a bit of a barnstormer of a fixture between Premier League high-fliers Leicester City and Manchester United. It should be a good one.

Leicester break at pace and Maguire halts Iheanacho as the forward looks to skip past him. That’s a clear booking.

This is the ideal scenario for Leicester’s tactical approach now, and if anything they have even increased the intensity of their press since the goal.

That is an absolute shambles of a goal from a Manchester United perspective. Maguire’s pass out put Fred under unnecessary pressure, but the midfielder still should have done pretty much anything other than lay it back straight to Leicester’s in-form forward. Iheanacho was never going to turn down an opportunity like that, and rounded the keep with ease to tuck home.

I’m going to level with you, this hasn’t been a match for the ages just yet. Plenty of time for it to liven up though.

Leicester break and win a corner. Pogba remonstrates with the ref that he was fouled during that move, and he might have a point… particularly given that his boot was knocked off by the challenge.

Telles catching Albrighton with a big of a swinging arm, but the officials are in a lenient mood today and it’s just a free-kick to Leicester.

Leicester leap on a casual piece of passing from Fred and Vardy tests Henderson from a tight angle. That’s the first effort of note so far, but encouraging for Leicester that they were able to transition so fast after winning the ball.

It’s not difficult to see Leicester’s plan here. Again they look for the run in behind as soon as they win the ball in midfield, but Iheanacho can’t quite pick out the run of Vardy.

A long ball forward is aimed towards the run of Iheanacho, but Henderson is alive to the danger and charges to the edge of his box to claim.

A United corner is swung deep towards the not-insignificant head of Harry Maguire, but the big centre-back’s effort loops harmlessly into the arms of Schmeichel.

It’s all a bit cagey at the moment, with neither team willing to push forward too much for fear of leaving space to exploit on the break.

Martial goes in with a lunging challenge on Tielemans and is perhaps fortunate to escape a card. You don’t often see those waved away these days.

Vardy makes a run in behind and crosses towards Iheanacho, but Telles makes a good sliding challenge to deny the Leicester forward. The flag was up against Vardy in any case.

It’s been the visitors who have made the better start, pushing Leicester right back into their own half and playing with an encouraging tempo.
