Tottenham v Brighton result - Kane at the double as Spurs advance in FA Cup

A deserved win for Spurs who were dominant but also showed resolve to withstand a Brighton fightback.

Brighton give the ball away to Kulusevski. He feeds Bergwijn but the forward blasts the ball over.

Brighton press and look dangerous, but Bentancur shows glorious feet to skip away from trouble. The crowd loved it.

Moder off and replaced by Evan Ferguson.

Winks goes off and replaced by new boy Rodrigo Bentancur.

On his return from a long absence, Romero is down but it looks like cramp more than anything and he is replaced by Joe Rodon as a precaution.

Welbeck is on for Lamptey

Bergwijn replaces Son.

New boy Kulusevski is on for Lucas.

The game has opened up completely and Maupay gallops clear, but does nothing with his shot and it goes straight at Lloris.Tried to dink it but caught the turf.

Tottenham ease the nerves. Son does brilliantly to collect the ball on the halfway line and drives past defenders. Webster attempts to tackle and only directs it into the path of Kane who forces the ball home.

The pressure has been building and the impressive Bissouma gets it. He drives across the box from left to right and his shot takes a massive deflection off Hoejbjerg and leaves Lloris with no chance.

March is replaced with Moises Caicedo.

Brighton give the ball away to Kane and he strides forward and feeds Son, but his shot is tame and saved by Sanchez.

The sub is beaten by trickery from Son and stamps down on the forward. Not sure there was malice in it, but worthy of a card.

He wins a free-kick and it just stifles Brighton. The visitors were getting up a head of steam, so Kane takes possession, beats one man before drawing a foul and taking the sting out of the game.
