Bayern Munich will test Tottenham Hotspur's resolve this summer with a bid for star striker Harry Kane, who is approaching the end of his contract at Spurs. Elsewhere, a number of Premier League clubs are interested in signing Alexis Mac Allister, Real Madrid may reignite their interest in Chelsea defender Reece James and Manchester United receive a boost in their pursuit of Joao Palhinha.

Bayern launch Kane attack

Bayern Munich have identified Harry Kane as a top target to strengthen their attack this summer. The German club will prioritise signing a striker following last year's departure of Robert Lewandowski and, although Kane does not fit their ideal transfer profile, his contract situation remains appealing. The England international will have just 12 months remaining on his deal at Spurs, meaning he could be available for a cut-price fee.
The Independent state: "While the repeat Bundesliga champions would prioritise a younger profile, the fact Kane has only one year left on his contract makes a possible transfer appealing and at least worth pursuing.
"Bayern are at least willing to test the situation, then, with an attractive offer that could make both the club and the player consider a move. The German champions would be able to virtually guarantee Kane the trophies he has long craved, but the Premier League goal record remains a huge personal goal.
"It in itself leaves open the possibility that the striker could stay at Spurs."

Premier League trio chase Mac Allister

Brighton midfielder Alexis Mac Allister is "expected to leave" the seaside club this summer and there is a tug-of-war for his signature. Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester United are all hoping to win the battle to sign the in-demand World Cup winner, which should allow Brighton to drive up their asking price.
The Guardian reveal: "Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United are interested in Alexis Mac Allister, who would welcome a summer transfer and is expected to leave early in the window if conditions are met.
"Brighton will soon decide the asking price for the midfielder, who played an important part in Argentina’s World Cup win last year.
"Although United’s priority is a striker, he is on their list and Chelsea are also keen on the 24-year-old. Manu Kone of Borussia Monchengladbach is among other midfielders of interest to Chelsea."

Real Madrid target James

Real Madrid are ready to reignite their interest in Chelsea defender Reece James. Los Blancos are keen to sign a long-term replacement for Dani Carvajal, who turned 31 in January. Real Madrid believe they could take advantage of Chelsea's Financial Fair Play woes and make a swoop for James in a cut-price deal.
The Mail report: "The Spanish giants are long-time admirers of the England right back and reportedly made an approach to sign him 12 months ago. However, the 23-year-old committed his future to the Blues by signing a new long-term deal at Stamford Bridge until 2028.
"Real Madrid believe that James could be an option if Chelsea need to balance the books following their £600 million splurge on new players. And James could be available for just €50m.

Man Utd handed boost in Palhinha pursuit

Manchester United have received an encouraging sign in their pursuit of Fulham midfielder Joao Palhinha. The west London club are reportedly already lining up a replacement for Palhinha, who is expected to depart Craven Cottage this summer despite only signing for Fulham in 2022. Marco Silva's side are looking at completing a deal for Porto's Mateus Uribe.
The Sun report: "United are monitoring the Portugal international’s situation, with Fulham expected to demand at least £60m for his services.
"Fulham have made contact with Porto and Uribe’s representatives already, and with the Colombian’s contract expiring at the end of June, a deal would be simple to execute.
"However, Atletico Madrid and Lazio are also believed to be in the mix to land the player on a free."
