Is he staying or is he going? Those are the thoughts occupying the minds of Tottenham Hotspur fans with regard to star forward and England captain Harry Kane. Bayern Munich are hopeful it will be the latter, with the German giants hopeful of being able to persuade Kane to jump ship. Bayern's honorary president Uli Hoeness is hopeful that Champions League football will tip the balance.

Bayern Munich have expressed confidence that they will be able to get a deal for Harry Kane over the line.
Kane’s future is a topic of debate, as he has under a year to run on his current contract and has shown no signs of signing a new deal.
Bayern and Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with moves for Kane and while PSG have kept their counsel, the German club have made their position clear in public.
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy’s desire is to tie Kane to a new deal, but Bayern are hopeful that Spurs’ lack of European football in 2023/24 will prompt the England captain to jump ship.
"Harry Kane has clearly signalled in all conversations that his decision stands - and if he keeps to his word then we'll get him because then Tottenham will have to buckle," Bayern's honorary president Uli Hoeness told Sport1 (h/t Sky Sports). "Kane wants to play internationally (European football) and luckily for us Tottenham will not be active internationally next year."
While Kane’s future is up in the air, there is no sign of his head being turned as he linked up with the squad for their pre-season tour of Australia and is expected to take a full part.
Spurs are now under the management of Ange Postecoglou, and the Australian is planning talks with the forward in the near future.
"Harry is already part of the history of this club and I want him involved here," Postecoglou said. "My conversation with him will be about how we can make this club successful and that is what he wants as well.
"I doubt it will be defining in the manner people think. I want to introduce myself to Harry, give him my vision, get an understanding from him over what his vision is and try be successful.
"I don't think it is my role to sit there and sort of treat people in a manner because of their circumstances. I am big on treating everyone the same."
Following the tour to Australia, Tottenham will turn their attention to the start of the Premier League season. Their campaign will kick off with a trip to Brentford on August 13.
