Former Coventry City striker Viktor Gyokeres is reportedly being monitored by Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea, with the Sporting hitman in devastating form in Portugal. Gyokeres' manager Ruben Amorim is said to be a candidate for Liverpool as they search for a replacement for Jurgen Klopp, and Man Utd are allegedly eyeing a move for Royal Antwerp midfielder Mandela Keita.

Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea monitoring Gyokeres

Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres is being scouted by Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea, according to a report.
The former Coventry City frontman has scored 31 goals since leaving for the Portuguese side in July and his latest was watched by representatives from some of the Premier League’s top clubs.
The Mirror reports: “Sporting Lisbon striker Viktor Gyokeres netted his 31st goal of the season in front of Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United scouts on Thursday night.
“The red-hot Swede has a whopping £86 million release clause written into his deal in Lisbon following his £20.5m transfer from Coventry City last July.
"Arsenal were understood to be watching multiple players in Sporting's 2-1 Taca da Liga semi-final first-leg triumph over Benfica, including 20-year-old central defender Ousmane Diomande.
"But Gyokeres is understood to have been the main subject of interest as Mikel Arteta and Edu plan to prioritise the signing of a marquee striker when the transfer window reopens."

Liverpool watching Sporting boss Amorim

Liverpool also had representatives in Portugal recently as they bid to appoint a new manager to replace Jurgen Klopp.
According to the Mirror, The Reds are impressed with Gykoreres' boss Ruben Amorim, who is expected to be a candidate for the soon to be vacant position at Anfield.
"Liverpool had club representatives in Lisbon on Thursday to watch Ruben Amorim's Sporting side defeat Benfica 2-1 in the first leg of the Taca da Liga semi-finals," states the outlet.
"The Reds are carrying out further due diligence on the Portuguese boss, who they're expected to interview for the hotseat even though Xabi Alonso is still considered the clear frontrunner to replace Jurgen Klopp this summer.
"Liverpool are mindful high-coveted Alonso is also wanted by Bayern Munich while Bayer Leverkusen hope to keep hold of the Spaniard for at least another season as the Bundesliga leaders continue their three-pronged pursuit of silverware.
"Amorim, who made a positive impression upon Todd Boehly when he previously spoke with Chelsea in September 2022, reportedly has a release clause worth in the region of £8.5 million and that figure has been drastically slashed in the past 12 months."

Man Utd eye Keita for reinforcement in midfield

Manchester United are eyeing a move for Royal Antwerp midfielder Mandela Keita, according to a report in the Manchester Evening News.
The defensive midfielder, 21, is an international with Belgium and United reportedly see him as an ideal candidate to replace Casemiro.
The article states: "Manchester United are interested in Royal Antwerp midfielder Mandela Keita, it is claimed.
"Erik ten Hag's side have struggled in midfield this season with the ageing Casemiro and the disappointing performances of Sofyan Amrabat leaving the Red Devils exposed in the middle of the park. And according to Het Nieuwsblad, United have been added to a growing list of suitors who are potentially interested in Keita.
"It is also claimed that West Ham are interested in Antwerp's defensive midfielder who made his international debut for Belgium in October last year.
"The 21-year-old has struggled with a knee injury at times this season but featured in both Champions League group stage games against Barcelona last year."
