In the other game in this group earlier today, Neco Williams nodded in an injury time winner for Wales against Bulgaria in Cardiff. The Welsh have won their opening two games and have control of group B4.

The rescheduling of Euro 2021 means that the greatest experience in Finnish football history is still on hold. Finland qualified for their first ever international tournament last autumn; just prior to that campaign, they served notice that they were on the rise in international football by winning their League C group in the 2018/19 Nations League to earn promotion to their current level. Today they’ll be looking to bounce back from their opening game defeat to Wales in Helsinki on Thursday.

The Republic of Ireland come into this buoyed by Shane Duffy’s late equaliser in Sofia, which salvaged a point in their opening group match with Bulgaria. It’s a busy autumn for them; alongside their fixtures in the 2020/21 UEFA Nations League, they have a semi-final from the 2018/19 competition to play against Slovakia in October. That represents the road map to qualifying for the now rebranded 2021 European Championship.

There are three changes for the Finns from the team that faced Wales on Thursday. Robert Taylor, Nikolai Alho and Nicholas Hamalainen replace Joni Kauko, Jere Uronen and Ilmari Niskanen.
16:20
The Republic of Ireland make three changes from the team that started against Bulgaria three days ago. Harry Arter, Robbie Brady and Jayson Molumby come into the side in place of Jeff Hendrick, James McCarthy and Conor Hourihane.
