Griezmann tries to slip a ball into the path of Mbappe, but it's too far ahead of the youngster. And so he throws himself to the ground, after minimal contact from Hummels, looking for a penalty. The referee isn't interested.

The visitors break from a corner, with Sane released in space. All he needs to do is square the ball to Werner who is in acres of space but the Manchester City forward overcooks his pass, allowing Lloris to race out and clear.

It is maybe the slice of good fortune Germany need. France came from behind in the 2-2 draw with Iceland on Thursday night - can they come from behind once more?

Interestingly, Lloris has not saved a penalty for France since denying Cesc Fabregas in October 2012 - and he hasn't covered himself in glory tonight.

Sane's low cross is blocked by the hand of the sliding Kimpembe - and the referee points to the spot!

End-to-end action here in Paris. France have some defending to do as Gnabry pulls the ball back into the heart of the home side's penalty area but Kante makes a crucial intervention before Lloris clears with a slightly awkward kick.

But Die Mannschaft need to be wary of the threat France can carry on the break, too. Mbappe surges down the channel with electric pace, twisting and turning, before delivering a cross searching for Giroud, but it's slightly behind the veteran forward.

Looks like Germany are playing with a 3-4-2-1 formation this evening. It's a formation which may allow Low's side to hit the hosts on the counter-attack.

Germany form their first attack of the evening, and it is dangerous, too. Varane back-peddles and clears an inviting Sane cross.

SHOT! An over optimistic effort from Griezmann sails well wide. He had Hernandez in space on the overlap. Wrong choice.

Germany haven't scored in their last three competitive matches, for the first time in their history.
