Well Dumfries is finally in the book as he clatters into Chilwell. It's been a long time coming...

My word what a tackle that is. A brilliant move from Sancho sees him play a fantastic pass through to Rashford. He looks set to pull the trigger but Dumfries comes sliding in and makes a fantastic tackle. Rashford bears the brunt of the tackle having seen his leg clatter into Dumfries'

Babel gets bored and takes a go from range. Pickford spills but nothing comes of it.

A fair amount of head-scratching for Koeman you'd imagine.

No problem for Rashford as he sends Cillessen the wrong way. England lead when they possibly haven't been quite at the races.

If you want a summation of how things are going England had a free-kick inside their half and Maguire just launched it out for a goal-kick.

Another example of the final bit of quality lacking as a period of play sees the Netherlands fail to make the final key pass yet England lose it just as quickly as they get it back.

Slight shout for handball against Van Dijk but any debates about that are quickly put to bed as it is called back for offside.

It looks as if we might have a yellow card as Dumfries charges into Chilwell to stop a counter-attack. Howevre our referee Mr Turpin decides it is just a foul.

Couple of half, or even quarter chances for the Dutch but they're struggling to get the final pass away at the moment.

Not the greatest moment from Memphis as he brings a ball down out of the air and then just hammers the ball out of player as he mis-cues a pass. Before that Barkley had the chance to release Sancho but he couldn't get the pass away.

GREAT CHANCE for the Dutch but they really mess up a two-on-one scenario. A mis-communication from Rice and Chilwell leads to Wijnaldum bursting forward with Memphis in support. However his pass is not collected well by the Lyon striker and it all breaks down.

Walker leads an England break but his pass is just too strong for Rashford to get on to.

More slack defending from England as Bergwijn picks up the ball and waltzes towards goal.England back off and Bergwijn's shot is comfortably saved by PIckford but they need to get out to him quicker.

But when it works that can happen! A poor pass from Barkley is lost by Walker and it results in an effort from outside the box from Memphis. His shot is blocked but that's a warning sign.

The Dutch plan seems to be sit tight and try to catch England on the break or press them into mistakes in their own half. It's not the worst plan in the world but at times they have four players pressing the England defence which is risky.

From the resulting corner England, so strong at set-pieces at the World Cup, create an opening for Harry Maguire but he fires over.

The Dutch nearly get a couple of attacks away before Dumfries gets caught out by Sancho. His delightful chip is ultimately put behind but it did cause problems.
