A Sweden free-kick is easily swept to safety, but there's one last chance here as the hosts snare a corner.

It's been a barnstorming first 45. Can Germany hold out for the last few seconds and take a lead into the interval?

Fischer caught out again by a neat turn on the left and she's lucky not to pick up a second yellow.

OFF THE WOODWORK! Germany go close again as another corner causes chaos in the Swedish area. Fischer manages to block a certain goal after Hammarstrom tipped a well-struck shot onto the post.

Laudehr allowed to run and run at the Swedish defence... she finally has a sight of goal and lets fly but it's deflected for a corner.

Wonderful play by Schelin down the right. First she blows her marker away with a turn of pace before arcing over a teasing cross that Germany just about flick to safety. That all came from a hurried clearance from the back.

Oqvist tries her luck from 30 yards. Easy for the keeper.

The goal has raised the stakes here. Another Sweden move down the right ends with some desperate Germany defending, but the reigning champions surge back up the other end and Mittag's audacious attempt at a lob drifts a few yards wide.

GOAL! Germany lead 1-0. Marozsan stabs a clever through pass beyond the grasp of Hammarstram and it trickles ever so slowly into the far corner.

A sweeping move sees Germany switch the ball from right to left, allowing Laudehr a glorious chance that she contrives to spurn with a drive into the stand.
