Majri is having a great game so far. The France left back is being afforded so much freedom to stride forward and that is creating space for others in the final third of the pitch.

South Korea need a rethink at the half time interval. This was always going to be tough for them against one of the tournament favourites, but their game plan just isn't working so far.

Of course, there's only so much you can do to stop Renard in the box when the delivery is right, but nonetheless, the defending from South Korea was really poor for that second goal.

Renard gets in between two South Korean markers and powers a header into the back of the net! The giant French central defender didn't even need to jump! She just strolled in there!

Fingertip save! That was close to being a second goal for France! Majri played the pass in behind for Le Sommer, whose touch set her up nicely. Kim makes the save to deny her a second, though!

Mbock Bathy is surely gutted that her goal was ruled out! What a way that would have been to mark the opening game of the tournament. It would have been one of the goals of the WWC!

So France are still well on top, but they don't have the two-goal lead that they thought they had. South Korea got away with one there. Make no mistake, though, more goals are coming.

GOAL RULED OUT! Well, after a very lengthy delay the officials have decided to rule out Mbock Bathy's stunning volley! One camera angle showed that her foot was JUST offside. That's harsh.

First VAR check! The referee is holding up the restart of the match as the officials check the VAR footage of this goal. There's no offside here, is there? We are still waiting. Strange.

France played a short corner, with the cross clipped to the back post. Renard then headed the ball across the six yard box and Mbock Bathy finished it with an astonishing volley!

South Korea just can't make the ball stick in the attacking third of the pitch. France are doing a very good job of suffocating them whenever they cross the halfway line. Well on top.

That's twice in the past five minutes that South Korean have given up possession far too cheaply inside their own half. That is just inviting unnecessary pressure on top of themselves.

Worth a try! That was audacious from Mbock Barthy. The ball spun up into the Parisian air, but the French number 19's spectacular overhead kick flies over the crossbar. Decent effort.
