Nigeria have had some decent runs at the French half so far, but they are lacking a bit in that technical ability to get past the French, but it's pretty evenly matched, so far.

France are right out of the traps tonight launching an attack.

Of course France - on home turf - are still among the favourites to win the title, so it won't be an easy ride for Nigeria tonight.

The bar is not too high for Nigeria tonight, as their manager Thomas Dennerby said in his pre-match press conference "if we can come out with a point, everyone would be extremely happy."

The last team these guys faced each other, France beat Nigeria um *gulps* 8-0. But we're sure that won't happen tonight...

However, Nigeria could make their lives much easier by beating France tonight to go second in the group. This would only help, however, if Norway only draw with South Korea, again, this seems fairly improbable.

Nigeria should also almost certainly go through, unless they lose by more than five goals, or South Korea beat Norway by more than six. Both of these seem fairly improbable outcomes.

So as it stands, France are already through to the round of 16. As are England, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Canada, Sweden, USA, Japan, Spain and China.

For France, who are already through to the next round thanks to a 2-1 victory over Norway in their last match, there are four changes. Torrent, Diani, Bussaglia, Le Sommer all drop back to the bench with Perriset, Cascarino, Asseyi and Bilbaut stepping up.

Just one change for Nigeria as Uchendu drops back and is replaced by Ayinde, who came on as a sub for her in their last match, a 2-0 victory over South Korea.
