Keira Walsh has not been ruled out of the 2023 Women's World Cup, with England releasing a statement saying the Barcelona midfielder has not suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury and would remain with the squad. She will not play against China. England coach Sarina Wiegman went into the World Cup without the likes of captain Leah Williamson, Beth Mead and Fran Kirby.

England’s fears have been allayed to an extent with the news Keira Walsh "has not suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury" and would remain with the squad at the 2023 Women’s World Cup.
Barcelona midfielder Walsh went down in pain after landing awkwardly when stretching for a ball during England’s win over Denmark.
Walsh left the field on a stretcher, and was later seen on crutches with a heavy strapping on her right knee.
Lionesses coach Sarina Wiegman’s initial assessment was that the injury looked serious, and although no diagnosis has been provided, an anterior cruciate ligament injury has been ruled out.
An England statement read: "Following a scan late on Saturday afternoon, we can confirm Keira Walsh has not suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
"The midfielder was substituted during Friday’s 1-0 win against Denmark.
"Walsh has been ruled out of Tuesday’s final Group D match against China PR in Adelaide and will remain at England’s Terrigal base to continue her recovery.
"Her knee injury will continue to be assessed by England medical staff and no further update will be provided at this stage."
While Walsh will remain with the squad, doubts persist as to whether she will be able to play any further part in the World Cup.
It is the latest injury problem for Wiegman, who went into the World Cup without the likes of captain Leah Williamson, Beth Mead and Fran Kirby.
England will conclude their Group D campaign against China on Tuesday.
A win would guarantee The Lionesses top spot in Group D, and a meeting with the runner-up in Group B in Brisbane on August 7.
