Scotland end an otherwise dismal qualification campaign on a high with an impressive win over the group runners-up. Anya, Naismith, Brown and Snodgrass all impressed on a night when Croatia's big-hitters failed to turn up. Encouraging signs for Strachan heading into the next campaign.

Brown has coped very well with Modric tonight, applying enough pressure on the Real Madrid midfielder to stem his creativity.

Croatia are controlling possession in these final few minutes but Scotland are dropping deep to plug the gaps and preserve their lead.

Hanley comes close to slicing Srna's low cross into his own net. Fortunately for the Scotland defender the ball flashes over the bar.

Srna breaks down the right wing, diving right to the byline and finding Jelavic with a floated cross, but the former Rangers striker can't get enough on his header to beat his former teammate McGregor.

With that change Strachan looks to be reinforcing his central midfield for the final 10 minutes. It should help Scotland see this out.

Jelavic returns to Glasgow for the first time since leaving Rangers two years ago. He scored the winner over Celtic in the 2011 League Cup final here at Hampden.

Do you know what? Scotland deserve this lead. Croatia have been sloppy and the home side have taken advantage.

Naismith made that goal look easy! It came to him very quick and very high from Pletikosa's save but he took it in his stride and powered the ball into the net on the bounce.
