Gunter stretches down the right and tries to nip around Vukovic, anticipating contact as he goes down. The ref says no foul, and there follows quite some disappointment.

Neither side can get much going so far. Wales will be satisfied with that.

Rukavina jumps into the back of Edwards, giving Wales a chance to put a ball into the box. Ramsey will try, curling towards the far post, but overhits his effort which drifts tamely behind.

Good run down the left from Kostic, past Richards and crossing for Mitrovic in the middle of the box ... Williams has lost him, but Davies does well to head clear.

Serbia have started without the fury I expected. But her comes Kostic driving at the heart of the Wales defence, only for Chester to block him off.

Bit of possession for Serbia, but Allen is in quickly to challenge and Wales quickly hump downfield. This is now a good start for Wales.

For now at least, Ramsey and Edwards are both pushing on.

Wales are pushing on - I didn't expect that - and Gunter forces a corner down the right. Ledley mooches over to take it, and curls in a decent one, which Edwards runs into, heading just wide.

Edwards goes down the left and slings over a cross, but it's easy for Stojkovic to claim.
