A decent effort at goal from Makmudov flies a yard wide of Patricio's goal.

Andre Silva's shot from the edge of the box almost has Magomedaliyev wrong-footed but he recovers to push away the effort on goal.

Haghverdi picks up a yellow card for a foul on Andre Silva.

Bernardo Silva, Jota and Moutinho are replaced by Otavio, Guedes and Mario.

GOAL FOR PORTUGAL! Jota at last gets on the scoresheet. Cancelo gets around the full back and puts a lovely dinked cross into the box which Jota nods home - just like, well you know.

Mendes comes on for Guerreiro.

Cancelo tries an audacious chip from the edge of the box that has Magomedaliyev beaten but drifts a yard wide of the goal..

More nice link play from Portugal but this time Bernardo Silva's cross is cleared. They really should be further ahead.

Alagarov has certainly been the pick of the Azerbaijan players. Her he puts a dangerous cross into the Portugal box but Pepe on the stretch clears well.

Andre Silva wins the ball 40 yards from goal and sets up Jota who sees his left-footed drive well saved by Magomedaliyev but then he blasts the rebound high over the bar.

Ozobic comes off for Mustafayev and Bayramov for Emreli.

Ghorbani booked for an elbow on Pepe. I'm sure a lot of opponents would say the centre back had that coming.

Cancelo plays the ball inside to Andre Silva who is clearly having his shirt pulled in the box but the referee does not give a foul. Fernandes is rolling on the floor after his follow through ran into Mukumodov but wisely no foul was given.

Bernard o has time to cut on his left foot 15 yards out, after being fed by Fernandes, but his effort is blocked above his head by Magomedaliyev.

Fernandes shoots from 25 yards out but Magomedaliyev saves diving to his right.

Cancelo puts over a cross from the right flank but is a little too close to Magomedaliyev who lets it go for a throw in.

Immediately a chance for Portugal as Fernandes drives a low cross over from the right flank that Jota skews wide at the back post.
