Having had more possession, Luxembourg have looked more threatening so far. It's been a fairly lacklustre start from Portugal and the visitors have yet to register a shot at goal.

Ronaldo tries to cut in from the left flank and is immediately closed down by three red shirts. After losing possession, he picks himself up and shakes his head in frustration.

Important defending! A menacing attack is built down the left flank from Luxembourg, and there are plenty of numbers forward to contest a dangerous low cross drilled into the Portugal penalty area. It drops to Sinani whose shot is charged down by Fonte.

Bernardo cuts in off the right flank and delivers an inviting deep cross, searching for Ronaldo, but he doesn't quite get the accuracy and drifts behind for a goal-kick.

You can tell there's a renewed sense of belief in the Luxembourg ranks after Sunday's triumph.

Portugal's defenders have been busier than they may have liked in the early exchanges, and Fonte is required to step in to break up a Luxembourg attack.

Sanches looks a threat for Portugal tonight, and he does well to win a foul after drawing the foul from Sinani in midfield. The visitors work a short free-kick and move the ball backwards.

The referee plays advantage as Portugal build an attack down the left flank. Sanches picks out the run of Jota, who is searching for Ronaldo with a low cross to the near post, but it's too close to the goalkeeper.

The hosts are having much more of possession than they would have expected in the opening five minutes. The Thill brothers have been involved, linking up nicely in midfield.

Luxembourg will be on a real high following their 1-0 victory over Ireland in Dublin on Sunday, and they've started on the front foot here.
