Gotze breaks in behind the Ghana defence, surging into the box at speed. He only has one man in the box - Muller - but Boye cuts out his cut-back to his Bayern Munich teammate.

Ghana are trying to do everything a bit too quickly. When they win the ball they look anxious to move the ball forward as quickly as they can. They need to slow things down and have more composure.

With the Ghanian defence holding firm Germany's patience on the edge of the box wares out and Kroos has a ping from 20 yards. But he's leaning back and the ball flies well over the bar.

Howedes breaks forward from the left back position to help support his attacking teammates and actually stays up the pitch for the attacking move. Germany's players all look very comfortable on the ball.

Just to elaborate, he quality in this game hasn't been great but it has swung back and forth in the opening 20 minutes or so, with Germany pressing, then Ghana having a go themselves.

Germany have taken control of the game in the last few minutes. They're knocking the ball about the back and working it through the midfield. The flow of this game has been compelling.

Muller comes close! Ozil picks up the ball from the right side, playing a ball into the six yard box for his teammate to run onto, but Boye does just enough to put Muller off, who misses his shot.

Gyan's run creates a yard or two of space for Boateng, who takes a shot from the best part of 25 yards. But it's slightly ambitious and the ball flashes past the target, causing Neuer no real problem.

Ozil breaks forward down the right side before cutting inside and playing the ball back to Khedira. The Real Madrid midfielder takes the shot first time, trying to guide it into the bottom corner, but Duada makes the save.

A Mexican Wave sweeps round the stadium in Fortaleza. Now, what do Mexicans call a Mexican Wave? Is it just 'The Wave'?

As well as Ghana have played in the last five minutes or so, they're suffering the same problems they endured against the United States. Nice build-up play but little in the way of a final product.

Ghana are enjoying a good spell of pressure at the moment. They're exposing the weaknesses in the Germany backline. That's something Portugal weren't able to do in the first game.

Neuer forced into action! Atsu fires a shot at goal from the best part of 25 yards, but the Bayern Munich keeper dives down to his right to make the stop and push the ball away from danger.

Mensah charges down a Kroos shot! Nice play from Germany in the box sees Muller backheel the ball to the Bayern Munich midfielder, but his effort is blocked by the on-rushing defender.
11'
Ozil almost gets in behind the Ghana defence, but Dauda comes off his line quickly yo smother the run of the Arsenal midfield. The ball through from Muller was fantastic. Germany look dangerous.
10'
Muller is playing in the false nine position for Germany again, dropping back into midfield and prowling all the way across the line. It's highly effective. You can't really argue with seven goals in four games.

Decent chance for Gyan! A long ball into the channel finds Atsu, who cuts back and squares a low cross into the box, finding Gyan eight yards out. But the Ghana striker fires over under pressure from Mertesacker.

Ghana are already sitting very deep inside their own half, and for the moment are struggling to keep hold of the ball in midfield. But there's no great urgency about Germany's play.
