So ends the worst game of the World Cup. France are through in first, Denmark are through in second. That was appalling.

The fall-out from this game could be interesting, but in truth there is little you can do about two teams playing the ball around without trying to score. They're both protecting what that have. Sadly for the supporters it has made for a terrible spectable. The worst at this year's World Cup, and perhaps worse than I've seen at any major tournament.

The boos are very audible now as Denmark play it sideways in defence. Any chance the fans can get their money back for this game?

Replays show Giroud throwing himself to the ground in the box, while backing into Kjaer. Never a pen. Nice try, I guess.

Fekir has some time and space 20 yards out, curls a low effort towards goal and Schmeichel gets over to tip it away. I suppose that counts as one of the best chances of this whole match.

Now everyone is whistling, I think. Schmeichel takes an age to clear it - no intent anywhere!

And that just about sums the game up, Giroud chests it down and fires a volley up into orbit before it lands in Row AB.

Can Mbappe spark this game into life??

WIDE! Mendy's cross finds Giroud, but his header is some 10 yards wide of the target.

It's just so, so flat. Eriksen sprays a pass nowhere near its intended target, and that just about sums up the afternoon so far.
