Thanks for joining us today. Plenty more action to come from Melbourne tomorrow with the race itself. It promises to be a cracker with Sebastian Vettel looking in top, top form.

Hamilton gets onto the front row right at the death at the expense of Webber!
1'
Alonso moves up to fifth only after a poor end to the lap. And the top four is still intact.
2'
Rosberg jumps into fifth while Alonso looks good in the first two sectors...
3'
Yellow flag is out as Massa spins on his way out of the pits and ends up facing the wrong way!
4'
After the Red Bulls come the McLarens, followed by Rosberg and Buemi at the moment.
5'
Webber then puts in a 1:24.395 to go second. At the moment it's a Red Bull front row!
7
Hamilton 1:24.501 to go top provisionally. But Vettel eclipses that with a stunning 1:23.529! What a lap from the world champion!
8'
Hamilton locks his front wheel up but that shouldn't affect his time too much.
9'
The temperature is still relatively low out on track.

So here we go for the final shootout, which will be contested by Vettel, Hamilton, Webber, Button, Alonso, Kobayashi, Petrov, Massa, Rosberg and Buemi.

Also failing to make it into the shootout are Alguersuari, Perez, Di Resta, Maldonado Sutil and Barrichello, meaning Buemi makes it!

Schumacher fails to get into the top 10... despite putting in his fastest time on his final lap. He remains 11th!
1'
Sutil spins but somehow manages to keep his car out of the wall! And that means he will drop out...
2'
Schumacher drops out of the top 10 as Petrov storms into sixth!
3'
Buemi and Alguersuari are the two surprise names in the top 10 at the moment. Otherwise, it's the Red Bulls, the McLarens, Mercedes and Ferraris.
4'
Rosberg flies round a corner and goes very close to clipping the wall... he just about gets away with it!
5'
Webber's not in danger through and he goes quick to clock a 1:24.658 to slip into second place.
6'
Vettel posts a 1:24.090! Seven drivers still to post a time, Mark Webber is one of them.
