Hello and welcome back to the second free practice session for the Belgian Grand Prix. The pit lane opens at 12.00 GMT, 13.00 BST.

The Lotus duo look reasonably placed if they can get third row or higher tomorrow. The strength will be their race pace.

Some teams conducting pit stop practice at the end of the session but most teams still out.

As the session draws to a close it’s Vettel from Webber, Grosjean, Massa and that man Vergne. Should end that way.

It’s been an encouraging session for Jean-Eric Vergne. He’s fifth quickest with Ricciardo 16th.

Perez told to push for the remaining four laps.

Work continues on Vettel’s car and the floor is being removed.

Alonso is back out on the hard compound tyre until the end of the session.

He adds that he’s happy with the progress of the team up to that point.

Christian Horner says he is unsure of the cause of the puncture.

Hamilton locks up towards Les Combes and throws up some sparks as he hops over the kerbing.

Alonso has gone quicker and improves to seventh on the sheets.

It doesn’t look like anybody will be able to beat Vettel’s time nonetheless.

Replays seem to confirm that Vettel’s problem occurred in the same spot as Van der Garde went off and it happened over the kerbing.

Vettel has left the garage so that seems to be session over.

Vettel climbs from his red Bull in the pits. Late drama in this session when nothing seemed to be happening!

A very strange situation, the back end just left him out of Turn 15.

Giedo van de Garde has slewed off the track and into the barriers. The yellow flags are out. He's okay.

That was Vettel’s 11th lap on the medium tyre.

It doesn’t look like a dramatic delamination but a slow uncture.
