LAP 52/52 - VERSTAPPEN WINS IN SILVERSTONE
The race leader makes his way around Club Corner to seal his first British Grand Prix victory here at Silverstone. That is his sixth consecutive victory.
Norris comes home in P2 with a superb result, and Hamilton comes home in P3. Special note for Oscar Piastri who finishes in P4 to get his best result in F1. Report to follow...

LAP 51/52 - TWO LAPS TO GO
Not long left now, but it seems that the top three has been decided. Verstappen leads Norris by 3.7 seconds, with Hamilton in third, over two seconds behind the McLaren. The Briton is reporting that his rear tyres have gone.
Piastri is hanging onto P4, with the gap to Russell behind him at three seconds.

LAP 48/52 - NORRIS GIVEN BLACK AND WHITE FLAG
With just a handful of laps remaining, Lando Norris has been given a final warning for extending track limits. One more offence, and the McLaren driver will get a five-second penalty, which will see him lose a podium.

LAP 45/52 - NORRIS HAS OPENED UP GAP TO HAMILTON
Norris has opened up a gap of 1.9 seconds to Hamilton behind in P3, which has broken the DRS window. The Mercedes driver has reported that he has overheated his soft tyres.
Meanwhile, Sergio Perez has completed a great recovery drive and continues to move up the field. This time he gets past Alonso to move into P6.
For Alpine, Gasly is creeping back to the pits with what looks like a suspension issue after contact with Stroll into Club corner.

LAP 43/52 - HAMILTON STILL PROBING
The McLaren of Norris is just about hanging in there on the hard tyres, but Hamilton is trying his hardest! The gap is only a couple of tenths, but the McLaren is proving to be a tough car to get past, even on the slower tyres.

LAP 40/52 - VERSTAPPEN ALREADY PULLING OUT A GAP
The Red Bull of Verstappen has already pulled out a gap of over 2.5 seconds out in front. Meanwhile, the battle between Hamilton and Norris is shifted up a gear as the Mercedes tries to go around the outside into Luffield and Woodcote, and both cars are side-by-side! With Norris just in front, has the advantage and Hamilton backs out of it into Copse. Great racing between both Brits.

LAP 37/52 - SAFETY CAR WILL BE IN AT THE END OF THE NEXT LAP
The Haas car of Magnussen has now been recovered and the safety car should come into the pits at the end of this lap.
The McLaren cars will be under fire, as they are the only two cars in the top five that have the harder tyres on the car.

LAP 34/52 - SAFETY CAR!
Finally, as expected, we have a full safety car! It calls the teams into action as they try and buy a free pit stop. Both Verstappen and Norris pit, but the McLaren has been put on the harder compound tyres. Both drivers remain in P1 and P2.
Hamilton also pits under the safety car, and he makes up some places and moves into P3!

LAP 33/52 - VIRTUAL SAFETY CAR
The Haas of Magnussen pulls over to the side of the track on the Hangar Straight, and smoke billows out of the back of the car with some flames to go with it. He stops the car, but because of its position, a VSC has been deployed.
Leclerc has made the most of it and has come into the pits for a set of soft tyres. He emerges back out in 10th.

LAP 29/52 - RUSSELL FINALLY PITS FROM P4
The Mercedes driver comes into the pits and finally ditches his soft tyres for a set of mediums. However, the gamble to stay out longer and get the overcut in Leclerc has not worked as the Briton emerges back out in P9, behind the Ferrari.

LAP 26/52 - LECLERC UP TO 11TH
Despite pitting early for a fresh set of harder tyres, the Ferrari driver has not exactly set the world alight with his lap times. However, he makes up a position and moves into 11th after getting past Stroll into Stowe Corner with the help of DRS.
23/52
LAP 23/53 - VERSTAPPEN CHECKING OUT
The gap between Verstappen and Norris now stands at over 5.4 seconds and the Red Bull driver is consistently producing quick lap times, including the fastest of the race. The front runners are not thinking about pitting at the moment as they try to make the one-stop work.

LAP 19/52 - FERRARI CALL IN LECLERC
The Ferrari mechanics get to work on their No.1 driver, and ditch the mediums for a fresh set of hard tyres. Whether they are remaining on the one-stop strategy remains to be seen.
He came in from P4 and rejoins in P12, over three seconds behind the Aston Martin of Lance Stroll.

LAP 16/52 - DRIZZLE HITTING THE CIRCUIT
Some spots of rain have hit the circuit, but as of now, it is just drizzle. The teams will need to keep an eye on the radars, as threatening clouds still are in the surrounding area.
