It is a fourth Canadian Prix Pole for Lewis Hamilton, edging out Rosberg by a hefty 0.3 seconds.

Raikkonen goes quicker than he has done previously, but he doesn't dip into the 1:14s and therefore doesn't bother Hamilton and Rosberg.

The two Lotuses are sent out from the garage at the same time and almost collide in the pit lane. Shocking!

Raikkonen, currently sitting in third, is told there is time and fuel for two more timed laps. Can he go quicker than the Mercedes pair?

Here's how it stands at present:
7'
Hamilton now on provisional pole. Rosberg, who sets the fastest middle section of the session, is a little cautious through the final chicane and goes second.
9'
Maldonado, on a new set of tyres, goes second fastest, splitting Raikkonen and Hulkenberg. Hamilton sets his first time of Q3 and is good enough for fifth.
11'
The Force India of Hulkenberg is out first, followed by Raikkonen. The teams are given one extra set of tyres for Q3 so it wouldn't come as a surprise to see a few just set one timed lap.

P3 is under way. Who will grab pole for the Canadian Grand Prix? Hamilton? Rosberg? Or could someone else upset the apple cart?
1'
Red Bull's protege, Max Verstappen, is also out of this qualifying session after failing to improve upon his earlier time.
2'
It's now or never for Alonso, and despite throwing it through the last corner and getting on the throttle midway through, his lap time is only good enough for 13th.
3'
Maldonado and Perez have never made Q3 in Montreal, but their current lap times will see them buck that trend. Grosjean now goes third fastest.
5'
An aggressive lap sees Maldonado go fifth fastest - 1.096s slower than Hamilton. Erikson is the slowest man out on track at the moment.
6'
There's more smoke coming out of Maldonado's car going into the first turn than there is from the BBQ's in and around the Montreal track.
