Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel is on pole for the Chinese Grand Prix at the Shanghai International Circuit.

Button leads Webber by 1.2 seconds as Hamilton leads into the final lap of the race - what drama!

Webber attempts a move on Rosberg in to turn six and then makes it stick in to turn seven. It was a great pass and now he is closing on Button fast!

Hamilton increases the gap to 2.8 seconds as Button closes the gap to Vettel to four seconds!

HAMILTON LEADS! Hamilton finally passes Vettel, and the Brit surges through with real confidence and conviction to pass the Red Bull driver and assume the lead!

Rosberg storms through on the inside of Massa, and that's a textbook move from the German!

Hamilton is all over Vettel, and the Red Bull driver is defending obdurately as he preserves his lead. Just!

Hamilton is now just 1.6 seconds off Vettel, and surely the Brit will pass his rival imminently!

The gap at the front is 2.9 seconds. Hamilton is told to protect his tyres and that Vettel will fall in to his clutches. Perez comes together with Sutil for 11th place.

Vettel responds to Hamilton with a personal best, and the pair battle extremely hard - what a race!

Button passes Rosberg with replays showing the German turning too deep into turn 14, and the Brit capitalises!

Hamilton wastes no time passing Massa as he exploits the DRS into the hairpin, and he's closing on Vettel, just 4.6 seconds behind.

Hamilton is implored by his team to "Attack Lewis, attack!" as he looks to exploit Vettel and Massa's "very old tyres".

Webber sets the fastest lap on his new hard tyres, and he's just 4.8 seconds off Alonso in sixth position.

Hamilton is now just under a second off Massa and 4.9 seconds off Vettel as he laps quicker than both.

Massa is now just 1.7 seconds ahead of Rosberg on the fresher tyres, while Hamilton locks up on turn six!

Rosberg comes out in front of Hamilton, while Vettel resumes the lead now with 3.6 seconds on Massa.

Hamilton does manage to come out ahead of Button, though, so he holds position, while Rosberg pits.

Now Hamilton comes in himself, and he will have to push extremely hard to close the gap on Massa and Vettel.

Button pits for hard tyres, and he emerges in front of Schumacher and Webber, who are locked in a scrap of their own.
