Well, what a session - it's Vettel on pole - can he turn it into the first second win of the season? It could be a fascinating race. Join me for that one tomorrow, and join me on Twitter to talk about the race before then.

VETTEL ON POLE FOR EUROPEAN GRAND PRIX FROM LEWIS HAMILTON!

Raikkonen, Hamilton, Button - all miss out! Nobody within three-tenths of Vettel!

Incredible time from Vettel - 1:38.086 - where did that come from?

Here comes Grosjean, whose pace has been superb all weekend - and he's on provisional pole! 1:38.505 gives him a tenth of a second on Rosberg... Right - what can anyone else do?

Bishop tips Hamilton for pole on Twitter - he's got a chance. Raikkonen comes out for his second run, and the rest follow. Everyone heading out on track.

Out comes Maldonado for another go. Grosjean on an outlap too.

Maldonado gave up on his lap, by the way, and had an ugly moment turning into the pit. He's got time to go again, and several drivers are going to have one go at pole at the death.

Raikkonen sets the first time of the session - 1:38.966 - and then locks up. Rosberg posts a 1:38.623 to go top, ahead of Hamilton, with Button then sandwiching the two and taking second!
8'
Rosberg and Hamilton are beginning good laps - worth noting that about two-tenths of a second separated the top 10 in Q2 - this is going to be very tight indeed.
9'
Williams first out with Maldonado - the two McLarens and Raikkonen follow swiftly. No tyres or nose on Vettel's car - he's not in a hurry.
