Highlights

A very exciting final lap from the drivers there - Hamilton and Webber especially. The grid position for tomorrow's GP stands like this: Webber, Hamilton, Vettel, Alonso, Rosberg, Massa, Button, Sutil, Petrov and Schumacher.

The Championship leader goes over and his time is good enough for third.

Webber is even faster. He's 3/10s faster than Vettel's effort. And Hamilton splits the Red Bulls. Spectacular!

That's it. We're just waiting for the final laps to be completed. It's an almighty battle for the second row.

Rosberg is five seconds off the pace. The German clocks a 1:35.572.

We do have 10/10 on the race track for the final couple of minutes. Schumacher has just had a decent first sector.

Webber, Schumacher and Rosberg all leave the pits for another lap. We'll probably see all ten.

Thoughts of challenging Red Bull will have evaporated at McLaren and Ferrari but there is still a tight battle on for the second row.

Vettel is almost exactly a tenth slower than his Red Bull team mate with a 1:30.352. They'll go again.

We've got another fastest lap. Webber is leading with a sensational 1:30.251. This really is very exciting.

Hamilton is over a tenth faster than Alonso. The Brit flies through in 1:30.725.

Alonso is at the front of the pack. He'll set a representative lap. It's a 1:30.866.

Mark Webber joins the group on track for the first of two runs. Hamilton has just done a 29.9 first sector.

Lewis Hamilton's impressive Q2 time was more than 0.5secs quicker than any other lap he has done this weekend.

Vettel is still in the garage. He looks completely focused. Probably imagining himself on pole...

Q3 is under way. A few cars are out very quickly.

Lewis Hamilton's first sector performance was outstanding in that last qualifying session. If he keeps it up then he could be in with a chance here...

Here are the drivers in the knockout zone: Heidfeld is 11th followed by di Resta, Maldonado, Barrichelo, Perez, Buemi and Alguersuari.

That's the chequered flag forQ2. Petrov goes into eighth. Heidfeld drops out. Schumacher is tenth.

Sutil has just gone seventh, knocking his team mate di Resta into the drop zone.
