Good afternoon, all, and welcome to our LIVE coverage of the German Grand Prix. As we head towards the halfway point in the championship, you'd be forgiven for feeling as though this is Nico Rosberg's year, and as if the odds are stacked against Lewis Hamilton. Ricciardo is past Raikkonen, and Hamilton's still frustrated.

Hamilton's really pushing to get past Ricciardo now, who in turn is trying to pass Kimi Raikkonen. This is so tight and they're driving with urgency and intent.

Hamilton is now in tenth place, about half a second behind Ricciardo.

It's starting to rain...

Rosberg has got that gap between him and Bottas up to five seconds now.

No further action from the stewards on that first lap clash - a "racing incident".
7/67
Hamilton is lapping about a second slower than his team-mate, and has a little contact with Adrian Sutil as he overtakes.
-
Ricciardo has been told to work his way through the field as soon as he can after that problem on the first lap. Apparently he's complained that Maldonado and Gutierrez were overtaking while the yellow flag was out, so expect more news on that.

Rosberg gently extends that lead over Bottas, recording the fastest lap, as the stewards announce they're investigating that first lap incident.
5/67
Rosberg is safely in the lead, with Bottas keeping in touch with him for the time being. Vettel and Alonso are third and fourth.
4/67
Hamilton passes Pastor Maldonado with ease, as you'd expect. Jenson Button is duelling with Nico Hulkenberg for fifth place - this'll be interesting.
3/67
For Hamilton fans, he's clawing his way up the field, and is now in 16th.

Felipe Massa seems to be fine. The safety car will be going in shortly and we can get into racing.

It does seem to have been Magnussen; he reports back on the radio that there's a touch of damage. Massa cut across in front of him - I simply don't think he saw him. Daniel Ricciardo had to swerve and go round the pair of them on the gravel, meaning that he's now well back in the pack.

Oh, my goodness, what a start. Felipe Massa's car collides with Kevin Magnussen, I believe, and he tips and rolls out on to the gravel, and the safety car is out immediately.

GO!

Hamilton and Max Chilton do seem to both be starting from the grid, not the pit lane.

A parade lap, zig-zagging to heat up those tyres, and every car takes its place.
