VETTEL IS ON POLE IN INDIA! It's the 13th time this season that the world champion has clinched pole position! Massa crashes as his front right wheel is dislodged, while Hamilton gives up on his final lap and pits. Massa is okay. Hamilton finishes second, Webber third, Alonso fourth, Button fifth, Massa sixth, Rosberg seventh. Then Sutil, Buemi, Alguersuari.

Alonso is on a flying lap as Button backs off slightly, Rosberg goes sixth but is 1.6 seconds off the pace, and Hamilton and Vettel prepare for their final push...
2'
Massa and Alonso return to the track, while Sutil and Buemi despondently pit without even completing a lap.
3'
Hamilton is told on the radio to find 0.2-0-3 seconds in the middle sector to find his required improvement, while Sutil sets a slow first sector.
4'
Webber is still 0.071 seconds slower than Vettel, while Sutil, Buemi and Alguersuari go out on track.
5'
Alonso and Massa both pit as Rosberg and Button head out on new soft tyres, while Webber goes third.
6'
Vettel goes fastest with a 1:24.437, ahead of Hamilton who goes second quickest with a 1:24.474.
7'
Massa is looking rather sluggish, but still manages to go second quickest, albeit 0.6 seconds slower than Alonso.
8'
Hamilton makes a botch job of the first sector, as does Massa, but Alonso is 0.4 seconds quicker than both.
9'
Vettel leaves the pits just as Hamiltno begins his first flying lap, and it's all go!

Alguersuari and Buemi put themselves into the top 10, while Sutil sneaks in behind Rosberg in eighth fastest! Schumacher misses out along with Petrov, and di Resta also misses the mark. Schumacher failed by just 0.018 seconds!
1'
Sutil goes 12th with his first flying lap, while di Resta pips him seconds later. Senna locks up and misses the apex of the final corner.
2'
Vettel is through, along with Hamilton, Alonso, Webber and Button as Schumacher heads out on a new set of soft tyres.
3'
Senna begins another flying lap with under five minutes to go, and he is needing a big final push.
4'
The Force India's hurtle out, and they are battling with the Toro Rosso and Renault pairs for places in Q3.
5'
Button seems very reluctant to make his move, and will only come out if he absolutely has to.
6'
Massa ruins his lap by making a complete hash of exiting turns 8 and 9, and that is a real shame for the Brazilian.
