Welcome to Monza for the Italian Grand Prix, where McLaren drivers Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button start second and third with Sebastian Vettel on pole.

Vettel extends his lead at the top of the World Championship to 112 points with Alonso moving second ahead of Webber, who crashed out in the sister RB7. Button joins Webber on 167 points - only five behind Alonso - but has won two races while the Australian is yet to win this year, so the Briton is third in the standings.

Schumacher, Massa, Alguersuari, Di Resta, Senna and Buemi complete the points positions. The full results are on the left.

Button crosses the line for second and Alonso takes third with Hamilton having to settle for fourth.

VETTEL WINS THE ITALIAN GRAND PRIX - the first time a Red Bull has won here! Hamilton is tantalisingly close to Alonso.

The final lap begins at Monza as Lewis prepares for a DRS-based attack.

Vettel is over 14 seconds clear while Hamilton has Alonso in his sights!

Hamilton now three seconds behind Alonso now and there is traffic ahead! Can Lewis fight him on the last couple of laps? Six-tenths a lap faster at present.

Di Resta should be okay as Senna closes the gap on him.

Buemi still battling to hold ninth spot but Senna finally takes it from him. Alonso responding to Hamilton's pace.

Hamilton quicker than Alonso at the moment but is there enough time to catch him? Still over five seconds between them.

Senna, recently brought in by Renault, battling Buemi for ninth spot - looking quite a bit quicker than the Toro Rosso.

Hamilton five seconds behind Alonso with Schumacher another six back. Things not going as Lewis would like.

So with pitstops at the front done, Vettel leads by 15 seconds with Alonso a couple further back.

Massa pits and drops to sixth. Di Resta now eighth, retaking the spot that he lost to Sebastien Buemi not long ago.

Hamilton is seven seconds behind Alonso and may struggle to get to him - whereas the Spanish star's Ferrari 150 is closing on Button in the sister MP4-26.

Hamilton looking to close the gap on Alonso with Massa between them yet to stop again.

Webber on the incident which damaged his nose: "I got a good run down the straight and tried to go down the outside. I then came across to attack the inside into the corner but Felipe came across... I tried to bail out of the move at turn two but the kerb is so high so I had nowhere to go and there was contact."

Vettel four and a half seconds clear of Schumacher after the leader's final stop. Schumacher has to come in again for harder tyres.
