We'll be back on Saturday for Free Practice 3 at 10am UK time before qualifying begins at 1pm. Could be quite a session - so join us then!

The drivers will perhaps go for a practice start or two before the session draws to a complete close.

Perez posts a 1:26.6 - that's as good as anyone has managed in these tricky conditions, and a sign that he'll be a factor if the race is a wet one.

SESSION OVER! The drivers finish their last laps to end a curious session.
1'
Every driver except Senna and Kovalainen out on track - all using intermediate tyres. The slicks would be quicker, but there's no race to win just now.
2'
Vettel comes through for his latest lap in a 1:30.223. McLaren, meanwhile, are practicing pit stops.
3'
The track is beginning to dry out - a dry racing line is emerging on certain parts of the track - but with 180 seconds of the session left it's not going to be much help for these drivers.
4'
His reverse gear was broken - that's why Kov couldn't follow the other drivers out of the escape route and get back on track.
5'
Kovalainen's incident in the first session was responsible for bringing the morning to a premature end. This time it's over just for him as the cranes remove his car.
6'
Senna through in a 1:31.150, as Kovalainen joins in the party at turn six. Yellow flags out as they try to get him back on the track.
7'
But the message comes, however, because Massa has become the latest man to be unable to turn into that Mirabeau sequence.
8'
"Low grip turn 6" Senna told - given Senna has already run off there, he scarcely needs the warning...
9'
Webber improves - a 1:31.777 on the intermediates. Clearly the conditions are improving, but not quick enough to see the drivers back on the slick tyres.
10'
Time running out in Monaco. The weather is not going to pick up dramatically before the session ends.
11'
Webber crosses the line a mere 18 seconds of the pace of Button on intermediate tyres. It's as good as anyone has managed since the rain came.
12'
There's a little flurry of activity here - both Ferraris, both Red Bulls peeking their heads out of the garage and having an exploratory lap or two.
13'
Yellow flag as Perez comes off at that same Mirabeau turn - the drivers really struggling to turn the car in right.
14'
"Less than 20% chance" of rain predicted on Sunday - although who knows what we will see come race day? It makes one thing certain - free practice three will be hectic.
15'
Hamilton has had a look - and he's back in after a single lap. It's now Felipe Massa's turn to assess.
16'
Charles Pic is back out for Marussia on full wet tyres. Doesn't appear to be raining - the Marussia must really be struggling on the slippery tyres.
