Thanks for joining us for today's sessions and we look forward to welcoming you to tomorrow's coverage as the Red Bull, Ferrari and McLaren drivers continue their healthy competition.
The action at the Singapore Grand Prix resumes tomorrow at 18.00 local time (11.00 GMT) for FP3 and continues at 21.00 (14.00 GMT) for Qualifying.
Amongst those at the foot of the timesheet it was Timo Glock who did the best job for Marussia, finishing 19th.
So Vettel had a couple of inconvenient moments but conluded the session on top, as he did in FP1. The German was 0.311s faster than second placed Button, with Alonso, Webber and Hamilton completing the top five.

The sesson ends with Kobayashi spinning across the track and stopping at Turn 19.

Despite being pushed back into his garage earlier Kovalainen made it back out for another little run. He's still in 20th place though.

Most of the drivers are on super soft tyres as they conclude their longer runs. We hear Hamilton chatting to his team who ask for two more laps at this pace. The former champion is looking good.

This will be a late night for the drivers as they still have their technical meetings and media commitments to get through and it's nearly 23.00. But many of them stay on European timings to keep their bodies in tune with a normal race day schedule. So they will go to bed late and get up late tomorrow, before returning to action at 18.00 tomorrow for FP3.

Kovalainen is wheeled back into the Caterham garage and that could be goodnight from him.

An error for Perez on the fourth turn sees him lose his line but he avoids a crash. Just.

Not long now for the drivers to make their final checks and gather their last pieces of data for the opening night here in Singapore.

Webber cuts his fourth run short after six laps due to team instructions.

Caterham are comparing the soft tyres with the super soft option, Heikki Kovalainen running the super softs and Vitaly Petrov going round with the softs. They are 20th and 22nd respectively at present.

Pace man, World Champion and all round winner Vettel is finally back out for a long run with a quarter of an hour to go, so he should have time to register several successive laps.

Räikkönen is the quickest heavy fuel runner at the moment, but Hamilton just told his team he is matching the pace of the Lotus man.

Red Bull are beginning their long runs now, Webber is already on track and Vettel is taking his time to go back out.

Paul Di Resta has had a good session for Force India, he is in sixth place, with a time around a second off Vettel.
