The track people are taking their time sweeping up all the bits and pieces.

The actual safety car is out because of the debris on the track. Vettel is reporting there's something on the track at Turn 12.

Massa is complaining about Hulkenberg, but it genuinely looks like he wouldn't have seen the Williams coming out of the pits.

"We're the second car on primes," Rosberg's team tell him.

Virtual safety car is deployed, and everyone takes the opportunity to pit. Button is just sitting there as his team utterly fail to remove his tyres. What an ignominy.

Massa was trying to get out of the pits, undercutting ahead of Hulkenberg, who is apparently unsighted and clips the corner of the Williams and into the wall. The car is smoking and he struggles to get himself out.

Grosjean pushes at Alonso, who's got the other pitters Sainz, Ericsson and Maldonado right behind him.

Maldonado and Ericsson pull into the pits as well and manage to hold up both Sainz and Alonso on their way out.

Fernando Alonso is called into the pits, and Carlos Sainz follows him.

Ricciardo is now five seconds behind Vettel, with Raikkonen a second and a half behind in third. No attempts to overtake yet - are they sitting tight and hoping a safety car will kick in?

Jenson Button is complaining about his tyres. He says that other drivers can make mistakes and recover, but his car won't.
