Ferrari look to build on their opening pace in Friday afternoon practice for the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona.

The Ferraris of Fernando Alonso - who led the morning session - and Felipe Massa are 14th and 11th respectively.

Red Bull's Mark Webber is seventh, followed by Michael Schumacher of Mercedes.

Nico Rosberg puts Mercedes third ahead of Lewis Hamilton (McLaren) and Lotus duo Kimi Raikkonen and Romain Grosjean.

McLaren's Jenson Button leads the way in second practice for the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona. The Briton sets a lap-time of a minute 23.399 seconds, 0.164s quicker than world champion Sebastian Vettel in the Red Bull.

The chequered flag is out.

Kobayashi and Hamilton both off at the final chicane, taking advantage of the large run-off area to coast back on to the track.

Webber runs wide late in the lap but the Red Bull is fine.

Massa comes in for soft tyres as we enter the final stages.

Kovalainen visits the gravel at the first chicane in his Caterham.

The McLarens both trying out the race pace on the harder tyres. Almost every driver on track.

Schumacher in eighth at present as he puts his soft tyres through the mill.

HRT: "Narain's car stopped on its 2nd lap. Tough task ahead this afternoon to find out what's the source of the problem exactly is and fix it"

Massa has hard tyres but Alonso is on softs. He is 14th at present.

Little change in the times. Webber in, Vettel back out.

Another car goes off at turn three - Perez in the Sauber. He oversteered but like Webber has rejoined.

Hamilton has a moment at the final chicane and comes in.

The car has been recovered at turn three and the flags have been put away.

The Indian driver was on a first timed lap after completing one circuit.

Karthikeyan is out - and touring! He pulls up the HRT on a fast corner and the yellow flags are out. Disaster for the Spain-based outfit again.
